Feathered

Feathered is a five-day project focused on creating a modular alphabet built from a single grid system. The result is a bold, futuristic display typeface composed of uppercase letters, numbers, and special characters. It is presented in a zine that unfolds into a poster showcasing the full character set. Designed on a square grid of intersecting ellipses, the alphabet balances old and new: its geometric structure conveys modernity, while the feathered texture reminds of ink on paper. Over two days were spent sketching and refining iterations before finalizing the design in Adobe Illustrator and Glyphs, ensuring proper kerning and usability. The finished alphabet, available as an OpenType font, captures both precision and personality within its modular form.
