After life

After Life is a publication about waste after life in Rotterdam, designed to engage readers with short attention spans through visuals and interactive design. By transforming a typically overlooked topic into a captivating experience, the project uses specific typography, selective colour, and playful layouts to sustain interest while highlighting the importance of recycling. Features include pull out cards, clear pages as well as flaps to reveal information. Printed entirely on recycled and handmade paper, the book itself embodies its message of giving waste a second life. Created in Adobe InDesign, After Life served as both an editorial design exercise and a reflection on sustainability, allowing me to experiment with microtypography, composition, and time management within a meaningful environmental context.
